British Airways Dreamliner suffers nose gear collapse

On June 18, 2021, British Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner suffered a nose gear collapse while standing on a remote parking stand at London Heathrow Airport (LHR), the United Kingdom.

British Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, registered as G-ZBJB, suffered a nose gear collapse while parked on a remote stand at LHR airport, Terminal 5, leaving the aircraft fuselage on the ground. 

Previously, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner performed a cargo flight BA881 from Moscow Domodedovo International Airport (DME), Russia, back to LHR on June 16, 2021. 

According to local media reports, British Airways confirmed that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was used only on freighter operations. Therefore, there were no passengers on board while the aircraft was being prepared for the next cargo operation. The cause of nose gear collapse is yet unknown.
