United Airlines plans to boost its global route network by adding new non-stop flights between the United States and the United Kingdom. The major American air carrier announced that the new service will provide its customers on the East Coast with another option to fly to London.

On February 19, 2021, United Airlines reported that it plans to add additional service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and London Heathrow (LHR). The airline said it would operate the route using the Boeing 767-300ER jet, which offers travelers 46 seats in United Polaris Business and 22 seats in United Premium Plus class.

The air carrier has a total of 38 Boeing 767-300ER aircraft in the fleet, 17 of them are active, according to Planespotters.com data.

“We will continue to monitor the demand recovery and travel restrictions as we finalize a start date for this service later in 2021,” Patrick Quayle, the Vice President of International Network and Alliances, said.
