The first incident occurred on December 14, 2020. Vistara Airbus A320, registered as VT-TNQ, was performing a domestic flight from Delhi Airport (DEL) to Bagdogra International Airport (IXB). It was supposed to land at IXB airport but due to bad weather conditions in Bagdogra, the plane was diverted to Kolkata airport (CCU).
After a few hours spent at CCU airport, the diverted flight departed from Kolkata at 12:34 p.m (GMT +5:30) and reached its initial destination at IXB airport at 1:23 p.m (GMT +5:30), announced Vistara on social media. However, it was not the only incident for the airline.

Repetitive diverts and multiple domestic flight cancelations are related to the severe impact of an ongoing snowfall in the region.
