IAG Cargo, the cargo handling division of International Airlines Group (IAG), entered a collaboration with IATA Net Rates, the rates distribution platform of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

John Cheetham, the Chief Commercial Officer of IAG Cargo, said that the partnership with IATA Net Rates would help the company to broaden distribution opportunities as well as offer an additional platform for its customers „to do business with IAG Cargo“.

“The pandemic has accelerated the appetite for digitalization. Signing up to Iata Net Rates is one of many ways in which we are continuing to offer customers a range of options as the industry embraces digitalization,” explained Cheetham in a statement released on November 5, 2020.

Frederic Leger, the Director of Airport, Passenger, Cargo & Security Products of IATA, outlined that while the whole industry faces the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the IATA Net Rates supports real-time rates distributions as well as offers „dynamic pricing and booking“.

„This is even more essential in the current crisis to ensure critical medical supplies get where they are needed when they are needed,” said Leger.

“IATA is very pleased to welcome IAG Cargo to the IATA Net Rates platform to support their efficient cargo rates distribution and booking capabilities, across the different airlines of the group“, added Leger.
