The United States and the United Kingdom governments are discussing an introduction of the London-New York air bridge that would allow business and leisure travel without quarantine.

According to insider information, obtained by The Telegraph, plans are being discussed at a “very senior level”.

Currently, British tourists are prohibited from entering the U.S., and Americans are required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival to the U.K. The planned air bridge would allow the two cities, heavily dependent on business and leisure travel, to regain their economic standing.

Both London and New York have comparatively low numbers of COVID-19 infections, as their respective countries are ravaged by the pandemic.
