British Airways international flights into London airports suffered delays due to a technical problem on the morning of November 21, 2019.

Among others, transatlantic flights coming from the United States and the Caribbean to London Gatwick (LGW) and London Heathrow (LHR) airports have been delayed. Passengers on Twitter reported seeing their flights canceled or delayed by up to 22 hours.

British Airways published an information notice on its website saying it rebooked customers affected onto alternative flights and arranged hotel accommodation when needed. “We are sorry for the disruption to customers who have been affected,” the airline told AeroTime, adding that it planned to operate a full flight schedule today. So far, no details on the nature of the technical problem were given.

On August 7, 2019, British Airways flights were already affected by many delays and cancellations at London airports due to a computer problem affecting its registration system. More than 200 delays were reported, disturbing the plans of some 18,000 people.
