An Alpha Jet of the Patrouille Acrobatique de France (PAF), the precision aerobatic demonstration unit of the French Air Force, crashed at Perpignan-Rivesaltes airport (PGF) on July 25, 2019.

The plane presumably skidded off the runway and smashed into a border next to a public road after “a bad maneuver”, according to L’Independant

The pilot ejected and was taken to the hospital for examination.

The Patrouille de France was expected to perform at an air demonstration in Saint-Cyprien (southern France) later on July 25, 2019.

Alpha Jet is a light attack jet and jet trainer, co-manufactured by Dassault Aviation (France) and Dornier Flugzeugwerke (Germany).
