Two Qatar Airways cabin crew members are reportedly arrested for showing up to work while intoxicated, Finnish media reports.

The incident occurred at Helsinki airport on the morning of April 16, 2018. Local police were alerted that two crew members of the Qatari airline appeared to be drunk, as the Doha-bound flight was getting ready to take off.

The news comes a month after a cabin crew member was publicly shamed by the airline bosses for showing up at staff accommodation allegedly drunk. A picture, sent to all company employees, shows a stewardess laying on the ground, presumably passed out.

At the time, Qatar Airways spokesperson explained the steps were taken to remind the company employees of the need to respect the Qatari society. While it is not forbidden for foreigners to consume alcohol there, it is not permitted for locals and being drunk in public is considered disrespectful.
