Bombardier  Global 7500 aircraft flew for 8,152 nm (15,764 km) nonstop, making it the longest flight for a business jet in history, the company announced on March 4, 2019.

The business jet took off from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) at 07:12, local time and landed at Tucson International Airport (TUS), United States, at 08:19, local time, also breaking the speed record for this long-haul connection.

“It achieved the industry’s longest mission ever in business aviation after only two months in service,” commented David Coleal, president of Bombardier Business Aircraft, adding: “We’ve demonstrated its unequaled long-range and high speed capabilities”.

According to the manufacturer, the Global 7500 landed with fuel reserves well above the reserves set by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) with 4,300 lb (1,950t) of remaining fuel, which represents nearly 1,5 hours of additional flight.

The Global 7500 business jet received its type certification from Transport Canada in September 2018 and from the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in November 2018. The aircraft entered service in December 2018.
