Emirates announced that it will boost its services to Brazil and Argentina to five weekly flights starting December 2024.

From December 7, 2024, the Dubai-based carrier will add a flight from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Rio de Janeiro/Galeão–Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport (GIG) on Saturdays.

The service will also allow travelers to fly from GIG airport to Buenos Aires Airport (EZE). The additional weekly frequency between Dubai, Brazil and Argentina will operate as EK247 and EK248 in a two-class configuration.

According to Emirates, the additional flights will enhance connection for its customers from Beirut, given that Brazil and Argentina are home to the two largest Lebanese communities in Latin America.

The additional flights will operate on the following schedule.

Outbound flight:

EK247 depart Dubai 08:05  arrive Rio de Janeiro 15:55

EK247 onward depart Rio de Janeiro 17:30 arrive Buenos Aires 20:55

Return flight:

EK248 depart Buenos Aires 22:30 arrive Rio de Janeiro 01:15 (next day)

EK248  depart Rio de Janeiro 02:55 arrive Dubai 00:30 (next day)

Emirates will operate these routes using its fleet of Boeing B777 in business and economy class.

The airline also said that business class passengers traveling between Rio de Janeiro and Dubai will still be able to enjoy complimentary chauffeur drive services before departure and on arrival in both cities.
