Brazil-based Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Embraer managed to deliver slightly more aircraft in Q1 2023 compared to the same period the previous year.
Embraer delivered a total of 15 aircraft in the first three months of 2023, 7% more than in Q1 2022. Seven were commercial aircraft, while eight were private jets, including six light and two large executive aircraft. As of March 31, 2023, Embraer has an aircraft order backlog that totals $17.4 billion.
“This first quarter was marked by the confirmation that for the 11th consecutive year, Embraer’s Phenom 300 series remains the best-selling light jet in the world, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA),” Embraer stated, adding that it delivered 59 Phenom 300s, with a total of 700 deliveries of the aircraft in 2022.

While the Brazilian OEM did not disclose the customers who have received its aircraft, ch-aviation.com data shows that it delivered four Embraer E195-E2s to Canada-based Porter Airlines, two Embraer E170LR to Republic Airways, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines, and one E195-E2 to KLM Cityhopper, KLM’s regional airline subsidiary.
The Brazilian OEM ended 2022 with a net loss of $185.5, despite $1.9 billion in revenues. In 2022, it delivered 159 aircraft, 57 commercial, and 102 private jets.
Embraer will release its Q1 2023 results on May 5, 2023.
