Embraer and CAE have responded to growing demand for private jet training in the United States (US) by announcing the launch of a new Phenom 300E full-flight simulator (FFS) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The FFS will be operated by Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS), a joint venture between Embraer and CAE.
The center is located near Henderson International Airport (HIR) and joins the six existing Phenom-series simulators already operating in Dallas, Texas, London Burgess Hill (UK) and Guarulhos (Brazil).
“Offering additional capacity for pilot training is part of our strategy to provide the best services to the market, said Johann Bordais, president and CEO, Embraer services and support. “This new Phenom series simulator is also a milestone in our long-term relationship, and we are pleased to be part of the new CAE Las Vegas Training Center.”
Nick Leontidis, CAE group president at Civil Aviation Training Solutions, said he was “very happy” to see its partnership with Embraer strengthen.
Leontidis also noted that Las Vegas represented a “strategic location” for both the business and customers.
“With Phenom FFS in four locations, we are bringing our innovative methodologies and advanced simulation technology closer to where our customers operate their aircraft, CAE’s group president said. “With partners like Embraer, we are expanding our network and increasing capacity to meet the growing demand for business jet pilots.”
In February 2023 Embraer’s Phenom 300 series became the world’s best-selling light jet for the 11th consecutive year.
The accolade was based on the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s (GAMA) annual shipment and billings report.
In 2022 Embraer delivered 59 Phenom 300 series light jets, which brings the total since its launch to 700.
