Air Canada (ADH2) announced the suspension of its last remaining flights towards the United States due to the restrictions imposed to fight the coronavirus epidemic. The change is coming in force starting from April 21, 2020.
The decision follows a concerted agreement between the Canadian and the United States’ governments to extend border restrictions between the two countries for the next 30 days. The last flight from the United States towards Canada is scheduled to take off on April 26, 2020.
Unless further restrictions are announced by the authorities, Air Canada (ADH2) would resume service on May 22, 2020.
The airline has reduced its flight plan by as much as 90%, since the beginning of the crisis. Until now, only eleven routes from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver towards the United States were maintained, mainly to facilitate the repatriation of Canadian nationals.
