Delta Air Lines Boeing 757, operating flight DL2123 from Atlanta to Seattle, suffered engine trouble and was forced to make an emergency landing in Salt Lake City.
According to Flightradar24.com data, the Delta Air Lines Boeing 757, registered as N819DX, departed from Atlanta International Airport (ATL) towards its intended destination to Seattle International Airport (SEA) at 6:47 PM (UTC) on February 22, 2021. However, a few hours after departure, the flight deck indicator warned the crew of possible engine trouble. The crew decided to divert and made an emergency landing at Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) at 11:08 PM (UTC).
Speaking to the media, a Delta Air Lines spokesman said that the aircraft diverted “out of an abundance of caution following an indicator warning of a possible problem with one of its engines.”

A person familiar with the incident told Reuters that the engine trouble of the Boeing 757 was not similar to an uncontained engine failure during the United Airlines Boeing 777-200 flight on February 21, 2021.
The plane landed safely and taxied to the gate of SLC airport under its own power without further incidents or need to be towed. No injuries were reported. The airline’s spokesman pointed out that the company apologized to its customers and was working to reaccommodate passengers on a later flight.
