United States-based Mammoth Freighters announced the launch of its passenger to freighter conversion program for the Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ER on September 9, 2021.

Mammoth offers air cargo operators and asset owners the ability to convert their aircraft to a freighter or lease ready-to-fly converted freighters from Mammoth’s existing aircraft fleet.

The Boeing 777s were obtained by Mammoth from Delta Airlines (DAL) and are managed by a United States-based investment management company – Fortress Investment Group.

Mammoth possesses a Boeing data license to execute 777 passenger-to-freighter conversions and had launched operations in 2020.

“We have assembled a distinguished team of over 100 design, engineering, certification, production, operational, and sales professionals with significant experience in convertingBoeing passenger aircraft to freighters,” said Bill Wagner, the co-CEO of Mammoth. “We are truly excited to bring the high-capacity, long-haul Mammoth 777s to the marketplace to meet the current and future demands of this rapidly growing widebody air cargo sector.”

The company claims that it was “founded specifically to develop, convert, and support both models of the most productive and economical 777 long-range freighters in the world.”

Mammoth operates a fleet of ten aircraft, including Boeing 777-200 and 777-300 aircraft.
