Emirates announced that it has entered a codeshare partnership with Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc.
The new partnership, Emirates says, will provide more travel options and connections for both airlines’ customers between and beyond Dubai and Casablanca.
The codeshare will begin at the end of May 2022 and will have the two airlines place their marketing codes on each others’ flights, to a combined total of 209 destinations.

The codeshare agreement will also provide customers with single-ticket, multi-journey fares and baggage transfers to their final destination.
“We are delighted to enhance our partnership with Royal Air Maroc to a codeshare and offer our customers an unparalleled selection of destinations across Morocco, and a huge choice of onward points in Africa,” Emirates chief commercial officer Adnan Kazim said in a statement.
“This partnership will further help strengthen our network connectivity, providing leisure and business travelers with more choice and convenience when connecting between both of our airlines.
Emirates also announced that it signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Malaysia Tourism Board during the Arabian Travel Market held in Dubai.
The airline said that the collaboration will help promote tourism and develop traffic into Malaysia from Emirates’ key markets.
Under the agreement, Emirates said that it will develop initiatives to boost tourism to Malaysia, promoting it across its network of over 130 destinations. The airline will also explore collaboration opportunities through organizing familiarization trips with key tourism and media profiles to the market, contributing to the revival of the travel and tourism sector.

“This collaboration will give further boost to the tourism industry and strengthen economic ties between Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates,” Malaysia’s minister of tourism, arts and culture Nancy Shukri said in a statement.
“We hope Emirates will continue to work together with Tourism Malaysia to promote Malaysia as a unique travel destination, by highlighting different cities such as Kota Kinabalu and Penang. This collaboration also aims to attract international tourists from other markets such as Europe, America and Africa via Emirates airline’s network”.
