flyAmelia Embraer ERJ-145 suffers runway excursion at Paris Orly

A flyAmelia Embraer ERJ-145, registration F-HYOG, ran off the runway while landing at Paris Orly Airport in France.  

The incident took place at 19:19 local time on October 20, 2022.  

The aircraft was operating flight 8R-1217 from Rodez to Paris Orly and was carrying 39 passengers and three crew onboard.  

According to local media publication RTL, the aircraft came to a stop on soft ground and no injuries were reported.  

Rescue services rushed to the site. “42 passengers and crew safely exited the aircraft and were attended to by airport staff,” the airport wrote on social media.  

The French Minister for Relations with Local Authorities, Caroline Cayeux, was onboard the aircraft and was safely evacuated.

The French Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses pour la Sécurité de l’Aviation civile (BEA) have dispatched four investigators to the site.
