The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, has been given an exclusive tour of Emirates’ first ever Airbus A350 ahead of the aircraft’s official unveiling.
Mohammed bin Rashid was accompanied aboard the A350-900 by the Chairman and CEO of Emirates, Ahmed bin Saeed, who praised the Dubai Ruler for his “decisive leadership and support” in “shaping Emirates’ success”.
Emirates took delivery of its first ever Airbus A350 in Toulouse, France, on November 25, 2024, before the new aircraft made its ferry flight to Dubai International Airport (DXB) later that afternoon.
At the Emirates Engineering hub in Dubai on November 27, 2024, Mohammed bin Rashid inspected the airline’s first of 65 A350-900 aircraft and took a close look at its new design details and technologies.
He was also briefed on the airline’s A350 network plans and how the latest aircraft type will fit into Emirates’ broader fleet expansion and network growth.
The Airbus A350-941, registered A6-EXA, is being officially unveiled on November 27, 2024, with media representatives among the first to step onto the new aircraft.
“Today is an exciting milestone for Emirates as we showcase our first A350 and usher in a new era for our fleet and network growth. This aircraft sets the stage for Emirates to spread its wings farther by offering added range, efficiency and flexibility to our network, enabling us to meet customer demand in new markets and unlock new opportunities in the cities that we serve,” said Ahmed bin Saeed.
The new Emirates A350 features three cabin classes, accommodating 312 passengers including 32 next-generation business class lie-flat seats, 21 premium economy seats and 259 economy class seats.
