Etihad Airways has reached its one-year milestone at Terminal A in Zayed International Airport (AUH), where it has seen its weekly flights soar from 1,336 to 1,732.
Etihad Airways completed its full relocation from Terminal 3 to the newly built Terminal A in November 2023, having begun the transition the previous month.
In fact, Etihad’s first flight from the new terminal was to New Delhi on October 31, 2023, with 359 guest flyers on board an Airbus A350-1000.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said: “In just one year, Terminal A has transformed the travel experience for our guests and supported Etihad’s ambitious growth plans. This world-class facility has enabled us to enhance our service standards significantly, offering greater comfort and convenience while strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a global aviation hub.”
Neves added: “As we continue to expand our network and fleet, Terminal A provides the perfect platform for Etihad’s next chapter of growth.”
A new chapter unfolds. As we set our sights on the future, we celebrate our first flight from Terminal A, the new home of the national carrier. Keep an eye out for more information, with flights transitioning between 9 and 14 November. pic.twitter.com/r88BF3fLJK

Terminal A is home to Etihad’s premium lounge, which stretches across three floors and includes the Liwan Global Dining restaurant.
It also features the Constellation Bar, adorned with a 25-metre glass lighting sculpture depicting the Abu Dhabi skyline, plus the Be Relax Spa, which is open to all passengers, with complimentary treatments available for First Class and Residence guests.
The recent transition of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility to Terminal A has further enhanced the passenger experience, making Abu Dhabi the only US preclearance.
