Alaska Airlines has unveiled its latest livery design with a Seattle Kraken theme in time for the 2024-2025 National Hockey League (NHL) season, which began on October 4, 2024.

The airline is an official sponsor of the Seattle Kraken ice hockey team, and the latest livery on the B737 MAX9 features the team logo and coordinates of Climate Pledge Arena. The aircraft’s tail number (#N933AK) is also an homage to Seattle’s 93.3 KJR FM, the city’s local sports leader radio station and the home of the Kraken.

Alaska Airlines said the aircraft will fly across its network during the 2024-2026 seasons.

“As the official airline of the Seattle Kraken, we’re thrilled to reveal a new design to celebrate our hometown’s NHL team. Whether at 30,000 feet or on the ice, we’ll be cheering the Kraken on this season!” Eric Edge, Managing Director of Marketing and Advertising at Alaska Airlines said in a statement.

To get fans and customers geared up for the NHL Season, Alaska Airlines has also released some fun promotions during the games.

Whenever the Seattle Kraken scores five goals at home, fans everywhere will receive 32% off Alaska Airlines flights to a mystery destination.

Through the end of hockey season, passengers flying out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)  or Everett Paine Field/ Airport (PAE) and wearing a Seattle Kraken jersey will get priority boarding.
