Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced it will increase flight frequencies across its network for the northern summer season of 2025, which runs from March 30 to October 25, 2025.

The airline’s network adjustments were announced on August 12, 2024. The decision aims to reorganize SIA’s global operations.

European expansion

Singapore Airlines announced expansion in the European region. Starting from the northern summer of 2025, the carrier will provide daily flights to London-Gatwick (LGW), up from five days a week currently. The airline also operates four daily flights to London-Heathrow (LHR).

Additional flights will be available to Rome, Milan, and Barcelona. The number of weekly flights to Rome will rise from four to five between June 26, 2025, and August 28, 2025.

SIA is set to pause its Singapore-Milan-Barcelona service, which operates three times a week, from June 24, 2025, until September 7, 2025. Instead, SIA plans to increase the number of direct flights to Barcelona from two to five per week.

Milan will have a daily service from four times a week at present.

Asia-Pacific and Africa expansion

The airline will expand its services in both the Asia-Pacific region and Africa. There will be 10 weekly flights to Adelaide, Australia, during both the winter of 2024 and the summer of 2025. The number of daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, will increase to three daily flights, while services to Siem Reap, Cambodia, will be operated two times daily.

Starting from December 11, 2024, to January 10, 2025, and again from April 2, 2025, to October 24, 2025, the carrier plans to add three weekly flights to Johannesburg, South Africa, adding to the current daily services.

From March 30, 2025, to May 31, 2025, the two daily flights to Tokyo’s Narita Airport (NRT) will be operated by one of the airline’s Airbus A380 instead of the current Boeing 787-10. The A380 will be replaced by the Boeing 777-300ER on flights to Mumbai from July 28, 2025, to August 31, 2025, and to Delhi from June 23, 2025, to July 27, 2025.

Manchester-Houston route suspended

Singapore Airlines will discontinue its Houston service via Manchester, UK, effective April 1, 2025.  The airline, which has been operating the Houston-Manchester route since November 2016, currently offers five weekly flights on Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Singapore Airlines will maintain its five weekly flights to Manchester.
