airBaltic serves more than 500,000 passengers in July 2024

Latvian airline airBaltic announced on August 7, 2024, having carried more than half a million passengers in July 2024, a 9% increase compared to the same period last year.   

In July 2023, airBaltic reported carrying 514,900 passengers, a figure that increased to 560,200 in July 2024.  

The Latvian flag carrier operated 4,550 flights in July 2024, representing a 6% increase from 4,310 flights recorded the previous year.  

Additionally, the carrier saw a record number of seats filled in July 2024, with 88.8% of seats taken, marking a 5.8% increase from the previous year. 

July 2024 also set new passenger records at airBaltic bases in Estonia and Lithuania, with increases of 14% and 24%, reaching 92,000 and 80,000 passengers respectively. These figures represent the highest number of passengers ever recorded during July in both countries.  

“This year operating more than 130 routes of which 20 are new ones, and by having 24 code-share partners, we continue to offer the best connectivity between the Baltics and the rest of the world,” Pauls Cālītis, Chief Operations Officer of airBaltic, said in a press release. “For the upcoming winter season we plan to launch six new routes from the Baltic States – four from Riga, one from Tallinn and one from Vilnius, which will provide our customers even more leisure and business travel options.” 

airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
